I'm also finding solution for this, there should be muffin builder or default content editor on Category Edit page. Wondering how we can achieve this function.
Hi, To display the sidebar on the category page, then you have to attach a sidebar on the main blog page. It will display a sidebar on all of the pages.
I was on your website and you don't have your posts page assigned:
http://prntscr.com/mjzo2y After changing it to the main page everything works, but I reversed my changes - I don't want make changes on your website because I assume this website is live now. You have to remove the blog item from the main blog page and assign that page in Settings > Reading Thanks
I don not get it. If I remove blog and set front page in settings I get 3 column in top and one column thereafter. What do you mean? Also I get a Warning in settings that I should not set post page the same as front page.
To display the sidebar to categories, you have to assign the blog page and assign the sidebar on that main blog page. If your main blog page is not assigned in Settings, then category page doesn't know what it have to inherit.
You don't have to set the front page as a blog page, but if this is only way, then you have to do it. Thanks
As I said I got 3 column displayed in top of frontpanel and normal display beneath with what you described. Categories then is ok. Why do I get this in frontpage?
Yes, that's not possible to attach the homepage and posts page on the same page, that's why you should change your homepage from a 'static page' to 'your latest posts'.
It will make this page like a homepage with posts from the blog. Also, attach the homepage in Theme Options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Blog https://prnt.sc/mlf3i9
Do not forget about removing all of the items from the Muffin Builder and assigning the sidebar. http://prntscr.com/mleyg4 Thanks
