Logo in the Middle with Split Menu

Hello, 

I bought the betheme knowing that I could make all kinds of layouts with it. (I am a designer so this is REALLY important to me.) 

I already designed how I want my site to look and the logo is in the middle with a split menu to the sides. I see an icon that looks JUST like what I want in the betheme menu but underneath it there is a terrible little * that says that the layout does not support a custom menu...How can this be?! 
Now I have no idea how to get my menu where I want it....

    Hi, sorry I didn't update this - in the case that someone else experienced the same issue: It really seems to depend on which pre-made website you choose. I later found one that was built exactly like I wanted and I was then able to make the header exactly as described.
