looking for some support on betheme mobile configuration with CSS edits.
sub header / breadcrumbs are expanding to 1920x880 on mobile so the featured images that I have are not showing up centered. Looking for help on this. How can I fix it?

Please always attach a link so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost) then our help will be limited, you will have to contact us when the page is online. Also please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.
It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot, for that use services like snag.gy or pasteboard.co
It behaves as I told you in the previous reply.
It will not fit because it's a background image.
To make it fit, you have to insert that image in the 'Image" item in the Muffin Builder as a first section with the "Full-Width" option enabled in section settings.

Also, is your image 1/1 and it does have the FHD resolution?

As I can see, your theme is not up to date, so please update it to the latest version.
I told you, it's not possible to make it fit with the "featured image" because it will display your image in the "background-image" rule of CSS and it will not shrink your image - so this text will not be displayed on all of the screens, because it's too wide.

This text is like 600-615px wide, and a lot of mobile devices has the width of 350-400px - so it's not possible to fit.
Inserting it in the "Image" item will insert your image in the <img> tag and behavior of this item is very different - it will shrink the height of this image to make this image as wide as possible.

Also, this size can be customized to the lower(or higher) quality in the Theme Options > Blog,Portfolio&Shop > Featured Image.
Remember to use Thumbnail Force Regeneration after changing the resolution there
