Logic behind next post navigation (.fixed-nav)?

Hi, I was wondering which logic is behind the arrow buttons on the right and left browser window for navigating between next / prev posts?

I have woocommerce with several categories and products and I want to sort the products accordingly....

This option can be turned on under Theme options > Getting stared > General section where "Navigation arrows" option is.

I don't want to deactivate but want to know how to influence which article / product is shown as next and prev? how is this sorted?

This is sorted alphabetically by name.

Sorry, we missed this last time. All posts are sorted by date and this is how those buttons works.

Why isn't it possible to limit these to the same category?

It says under Blog,Portfolio,Shop : excluding Shop -> Why? Doesn't it make much more sense to have this limitation for the shop as well?

@soulofsound WooCommerce is not so obvious as other elements. This plugin is a little bit more complicated and some things just can not be done.
