BUG - Cannot disable Author in "Filter By" settings.

Hi,  I cannot disable authors from coming up in blog filter -  i.e. :  Filter by:  Category,  Tags, Authors - it shows up on the blog masonry page.  I went into the settings for the blog and checked "Tags Only" but that does nothing.    

Interestingly enough,   your choices are Show,  Show only Categories, Show only Tags, Show Only Authors, and Hide.  Checking any of these has zero effect,  the entire list is always showing.   

I'd prefer to show categories and tags only and NO authors, however, I can live with just tags. 

Please advise how I get rid of Authors ,  or where in code it is so I can hard code it out.   We cannot have Authors  showing on this website.
