Please paste that code into the Theme Options > Custom CSS & JS > CSS

  background:none !important;
}

.testimonials_slider .bq_wrapper blockquote{
  background-image:none !important;
}

How would I change the color of the quotation marks using CSS too? Thank you

It will be not possible to change the color of that element, because it's made with an image.

You would have to overwrite image of it to achieve that.
