Parent Vs Child theme

Hi, I just purchased the Be theme.

First time installing

When installing the theme do I select the standard theme zip or the child theme zip?

Do I have to install both? If so how

Can I install a child theme and then download a prebuilt templated website?

Please help

Hi, (I am a user like you, I am not of Support Team)

You first install the zip with the parent theme, then install the child theme and activate it. The child theme is used so that the changes you make such as modifying a css fragment etc are not lost when the theme is updated.

Hello,

The "Child" theme is a separate theme, so you have to activate it in the Appearance > Themes

It should be there named "BeTheme Child"

Near the theme name, it will be "Active" title provided.
