After Betheme and WP update Muffin Builder doesn't work

Hi Betheme team,
thanks for your attention,

I have a website that it was using 5.2 PHP with Betheme v 16.2 and Wordpress v4.X

I updated all plugins, WP and Betheme. After all this updates the muffin builder doesn't show the elements and I can only see the codes.
I don't know how to solve the problem. Before restore the website I would like to ask you in case it was something with solution.

Thanks,

best regards,

  • I send you a private message with wordpress details. But, the issue is really urgent so I decide to restore the website and try to update it again.
If I have the same problem again I will write you,

    thanks for your attention,
  • Hello,
    1) Update your WP to the latest version
    2) Update the theme to the latest version
    3) Please contact your hosting provider and ask him about increasing your "PHP Version" to 7

Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:
    http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#general
Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the
files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a
fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.

    thanks
  • This what I did.

But when I update the WP to the latest version is when the problem happens.
So I will try to update first the theme and afterthat the WP, maybe if I change this order can I solve the problem... I'm not sure.

    The PHP version is 7.1

    Thanks,
  • Please let me know about the result.
It will work too, but it's necesary to have the at least WP 5 .

Also, you can try to reinstall the WP first, then update it.
How to reinstall WP without removing any files here:

    Thanks
  • Hi,

    I've found the solution.
In my first discuss I talked that Muffin Builder it was not working, sorry, I was talking about Visual Composer.

So the solution is first update Visual Composer (manually), and after I update the WP, Bethem and plugins.  So this is the solution to not have problems. If you try to update Wordpress before Visual Composer you lose all content.... it is amazing.

    Thanks for all,

    best regards,
  • So, glad to hear that you solved it out.
Is there anything elese I can help you with?
    Thanks
