Best Image Size For Featured Images?

What's the best image dimensions to use for blog featured image post?

Looking to keep things uniform and believe the blog page has one layout with a wide rectangle view of the featured image across the top when you are on the actual blog post correct?

Wanting to fill that area out if that's the only layout for the actual post itself and then also keep the related post the same sizes..

Hello Scott,

It's hard to say - it depends on you, we in our demos use the 768px wide images, their weight is not that big and quality is not bad.
