.SVG not uploading

.svg upload is not allowed. Previously I have updated .svg files using your theme I have another website that use be theme and there everything is .svg. I am using the same method I used before into creating the icons but the theme does not allow me to upload. Here is an image of the message I receive: https://imgur.com/TxEQqi8

Please advice on what I should do in order to be allowed to upload .svg
I have read the following article and tried by installing plugins: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-svg-in-wordpress/
This also does not work. Is there a safe and simple way to add .svg to my website?
