Error when updating page

Good afternoon guys,

I'm running into a problem when I want to make any changes with the Muffin Builder. All content that is already there remains intact, however. Just saving a page with any elements in the Muffin Builder on it will not save but produce an error. In debug mode, we get something like:

"Fatal error: Uncaught error: [] operator not supported for strings...." etc.

The one exception is that I'm able to put as many empty sections in there, leaving me to believe it's not the 'php max vars' issue. We've been trying to solve the problem with two versions of BeTheme: v16 and v25.1.2. When disabling all active plugins on the site, this problem persists.

I would be very appreciative if you could help me fix this issue.

Hello,

Please update your theme to the latest version and be sure that your php version is 7 or higher.

Thank you for your quick reply.

Indeed, our PHP version is 7.1. The newest version available of BeTheme is installed. There haven't been any changes to our child theme, though. I can't really imagine this being the problem, though.

Hey,

please also try this: switch to your parent theme and disable all plugins.

See if that changes anything.
