Create a section template

Is it possible to create a section template that can then be used on every page of my site.

Say for instance I create a section with 3 content blocks with Social info in the first block, Contact info in the second block and a Newsletter Optin in the third block. I don't wan't to have to create that section on each page from scratch but instead would insert the template I've already created.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks,
Anthony

  • Hello,
Of course, you can create a "template" (wordpress dashboard) which can be imported on every page.
But, if you will update one of the informations there, you will have to remove and import it on every page where it appears once more.
    Thanks
  • Thanks Pablo,

Can you please elaborate on how this is done or direct me to some training?
  • Yes, sure.
    1. go to wordpress>templates
    2. create a new template page and inser your desired Muffin Bulder content.
    3. Under the Muffin Builder you will see an import and export option.
    4. Click export and you will see a long string of text. Copy it.
    5. Go to a desired page, and again scroll below the Muffin Builder, click on the import button, paste the text you just copied and select where the content should be pasted: top, bottom or replace the current content.
    cheers
  • Thanks Bryan,

Now what happens if I make a change to the template, does it update the change on all pages the template has been inserted to?
  • No, you have to change it on all of the websites once more, the content provided from templates is static
    Thanks
  • Ok, so it sounds like creating a template wouldn't create an easier way then. Sounds like I'd be better off just creating the section on each page/post as needed.

    Thanks.
