Is there a limit to the number of Elementor widgets that can be loaded on a page?

There's some sort of limitation on the pages I build with Elementor. Everything will load fine, then I'll hit a point where adding another widget breaks the page. I can still edit it in Elementor, but both the preview and the live page become endlessly loading blank pages.

Here's an example.

This page is loads correctly:

I made a clone of the page and added some additional copy and one photo. Now, the page doesn't load anymore:

I know this page has a heavy load in general because of the videos, but even if I change those widgets to something simpler (like an image), it still won't load.

PHP is 7.3 and memory limit is 128. Is this where the issue lies? If so, any suggestions on how to get around it? All of the pages I'm creating seem to have a really limited capacity (even just with text and images) which is very frustrating.

  • Hi,

Please provide us with your hosting environment settings, to do that please follow these steps:
    1) Go to the Wordpress > Tools > Site Health http://prntscr.com/nlyb22
    2) Click at the “Info” on the top of the page and open the “Server” tab http://prntscr.com/nlybm2
    3) Take a screenshot of the content inside that ‘Server’ tab http://prntscr.com/nlybyr
Please make sure you are using Wordpress 5.2 or later, previous versions did not have this option built in.

Please use snag.gy or pasteboard.co to host the screenshot and send us the link to it.
    Thanks
  • Your server values are not crossing the minimal requirements, you have to contact the hosting provider and ask him about increasing them to:
    1) PHP Max Input Vars value to min. 5000
    2) PHP Time Limit to min 180s

After that, you should be able to provide more content into your page ;)
    thanks
  • I could update the time limit but unfortunately was stuck at 1000 for max input—however! I did manage to solve the issue and wanted to post here in case anyone else is having "white screen of death" issues.

I went through and deactivated a bunch of plug-ins (leftover from the last developer who worked on the site) and boom! The site can load much more content now. Seems like they were taking up way too much memory.
  • So, do you have some further questions/problems?
    Thanks
