How do I add a parallax effect to images or background images?

I can't find the parallax option. When selecting background position I only receive the following options:

default
centre centre
centre left
centre right
top centre
top left
top right
bottom centre
bottom left
bottom right
custom

You have a lot of plugins enabled, please disable all of them, clear the cache of your browser and check, if you have the parallax effect available to set.
