Menu navigation label colour.

Hi,

I would like to customize my head menu colours.

How do I change a Menu's navigation label colour?

I have five menu labels, I would like to highlight one red.

From this:

SERVICES | SHOP | CONTACT | GROUP | CART

To this:

SERVICES | SHOP | CONTACT | GROUP | CART

So i've added a custom css class in the menu options, customshop-class

.customshop-class

{color: #ae2026;}

This doesn't seem to work, however if i add {background: #ae2026;}

That changes the background successfully..

I'd appreciate any help here.
