Menu + Footer not displaying on 404 page

Hi,

I have an issue with the page 404, when I preview the page with the admin mode, the menu + footer are displayed. But as soon as I try to watch it from visitor side they don't display anymore.

I didn't change any 404 settings, except the link to te page 404, and I can't find anything to turn it on.

Any idea where this coul be coming from ?

    Hello,

    Well, that is how 404 page should work.

    It should not have any other funtionality than displaying the 404 error.

    I also see this on my end, but the layout is also not being saved. Wanted the design to give button options (some differences on mobile view) but it isn't working. Curious if anyone has figured out a work around or a plugin that helps. It is extremely common for a 404 error branded page to have a menu and footer so I am surprised this isn't an option.
