Anchor link scrolls back up

Hi, I'm experiencing a weird behaviour with anchor links. While they are on the same page they seem to be working as expected.

But when the link is on a different page it leads to the correct point on the target page, and immediately scrolls back up to the top of the page. The result is landing to the top of the page as if the anchor id wasn't there on the link at all.

What might be the cause of this, and how can it be fixed? Thank you.

  • Could it be that the page has not fully loaded when the link takes you to the targeted id, and that once it loads it jumps you back to the top? And what would be the best way to fix that?

  • Hi,

Please always attach a link so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost) then our help will be limited, you will have to contact us when the page is online. Also please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.

    thanks
