Social Media - Font Awesome Icons Showing as Boxes

I updated to the latest version of the theme & my social media icons are now showing as square boxes & they are not loading in the font awesome icons that come with the theme. What is the fix for this?

Sorry but we do not support font awesome. It inteferes with our icons.

Sorry for my late reply. The forum never emailed me when I received a reply back.

ok so then what are you running? My mobile menu on the BeTheme turned into the "Internet Explorer" icon on my BeTheme wordpress site after the last update.

And other icons changed to like the email icon became:

.icon-mail-line:before {

content: '\e8d1'

}

which is a disk icon. But they are icons that are pulling from the theme & not custom coded by me.

Same as my social media icons just became blank boxes.

All of these are pulling from the theme options in the header.

http://growingsmilespa.com/ - top right corner you will see 5 icons, 4 of them missing, 1 completely incorrect

http://www.aamh.org/ - icon next to the email top left corner is incorrect

and both of these sites if you switch to mobile view the icon instead of the typical hamburger menu becomes an internet explorer icon.

Please open your console and check how much errors you have got. Fix them and it should be fine.

Thank you for your reply, but how does this get fixed? I tried to upload the /fonts folder in the BeTheme via FTP, but nothing changed. The errors reference fonts in those files.

Am I missing a step somewhere? All I did was upload the latest BeTheme version via FTP & the fonts stopped working properly.

We do not know, maybe it is some third party plugin. Please try to disable all plugins.

Seems to be theme related to me. I did disable all plugins & nothing was fixed.

This ONLY happened after I upgraded to the last theme version. If I switch from BeTheme Child to the main BeTheme the error still happens.

Do you need FTP/WordPress access?

I didn't load in font awesome. The icons are pulling from your theme in BeTheme Options > Social. When I put a link in there, your icons show up blank.

Additionally in BeThem Options > Menu & Action Bar > Action Bar when I have the phone number & email address plugged in same issue shows up.

These all takes place in Theme Options & not anything I loaded in separately.

Thank you for your help so far, but didn't font awesome come packaged with your theme? I didn't set it up myself. So why would it not be working? That is what should be figured out & fixed so that it loads properly.

It is a theme based issue so lets try to see what the solution is. As mentioned all of these are loading from BeTheme Options which is your theme.

I am not sure you are reading my replies correctly. Look at the last post:

It says the website IS NOT running font awesome & also has the issues. And yes correct there are errors in the BeTheme/Fonts/ folder where is a folder that came with the theme. When the latest version of the theme was uploaded it caused issues. I have since reuploaded it & still same issues. So this has NOTHING to do with font awesome as you mentioned & I agree.

What is the reason for the BeTheme font folder to stop working? I have disabled plugins, deactivatedthe theme, reuploaded the new theme, etc & none of those options have fixed the issue.

Did you saw errors in console that my college pointed above? If not, please check above screenshot once again because this issue has nothing to with the theme and my college was right. We suggest to start from disabling 3rd party plugins but if this really won't help, please contact with your admin or hosting provider and ask why font files could not be loaded properly.

I have read everything single thing that has been written. I have also already disabled all plugins as listed above. This only happened after upgrading your theme.

And it happened at 2 entirely different hosting providers. Could the issue be via FTP program (using filezilla)? Have you heard of this before?

This is now resolved. Using a different FTP program (I was using filezilla) fixed the issue. Seems to be something with those files from your theme using filezilla corrupted them for some reason.

I am also having problems similar to this one and so far, from all the attempts I made to reoslver, nothing resolved, in fact I was recommended to install a plugin that apparently had been re-downloaded yesterday, however, I just accessed my website and the same happens thing. Coincidentally I also use FileZilla to access my FTP, should it be because of that?

Please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if this issue still appears.

Also, if you are using child theme, please, switch to parent theme and check if it works then.
