Subcategories Display Sidebar Below Products

Hello,

First and foremost, please excuse me if I am being naive. I have searched through the forum for this answer, but have not found a solution.

I had set up the sidebar for the shop portion, which perfectly displays the sidebar

However, on the category pages, it displays it below the products

Examples:

SHOP - http://goo.gl/ABIWLV

Subcategory - http://goo.gl/vFP3Jd

Can you please detail what steps I need to take in order to rectify this?

The comments that I have read about "assigning a sidebar" do not seem to be applicable to this version of BeTheme

I have gone to "Blog, Portfolio & Shop" but do not see where it is I would go and change the layout or include a custom sidebar.

Hello,

This is what I mean. It works well on the main shop page, but then on the subcategories (any submenu item below SHOP) is when the sidebar goes below the products

Please show us on screenshot where you setup sidebar for shop page. Because we are pretty sure, you forgot about sidebar layout for shop page under "Page options" section.

The classes "with_aside aside_right" are clearly missing in the body tag but i can't find where to setup it... Please help.

To be more precise, i can't find the "page options" section to setup the sidebar layout in all shop pages.

Ok, thanks for your answer.

I had already found the "page options" section but there is no shop specific page option in it (only general page, post, portfolio) and when i setup the sidebar layout (even for post) ; my issue is still here.

To my mind, the "with_aside aside_right" classes are missing in the body tag of the woocommerce subcategories and tag pages.

@benefacere All you need to do is setup sidebar layout (left or right) for shop page. This can be done under "Page options" section while you create/edit pages. The sidebars section you showed is related with general settings but we talk about individual settings for pages.

Ok great, thanks a lot ! So the shop individual page setup is the setup for all the shop pages ; it's understood !

Just something strange : the displayed sidebar is the "plugin | woocommerce" but not the sidebar that has been setup in the shop individual page. Is it ok or my setup is still wrong ?

You can't setup custom sidebars for shop pages because it's WooCommerce. Only widgets from "Plugin | WooCommerce" will show under woocommerce pages.

Ah- ha! Thank you. Deciphered the instructions and understand now. If anyone else does not, the steps to resolve this are:

From the actual "Shop" page in your Pages list, scroll down below the builder and be sure that you have both the layout option set to the desired sidebar location as well as choosing the corresponding Sidebar for that page. It should look like this:

Once this is set, any menu items created that are from Product Categories will then follow the same layout.

It probably is just me that did not understand the instructions as well as I should have, and if anyone else is like me, I hope this helps resolve it for them as well.
