BeTheme Header styling impacted by all image gallery plugins I've tried

I've tried adding 2 different image gallery plugins, (NextGen Gallery and Gallery Bank Pro by Tech Banker),  and they both impact the header area in the following ways:
  • NAV section height is doubled
  • Search becomes disabled (no response to clicking the search icon)
  • Drop down section (Sliding Top #1) with included Profile Builder Widget wont respond
