Social network links next to menu

Hi, I would like to insert social network links next to Top bar right. But for some reason I don't want / can't use Header Builder. I also don't want to place links in the Action bar.


The ideal location would be to the left or right of the search icon.

Is it possible to achieve this using some hack?
