How to add alt text to BeTheme logo elements

I've searched to see if another had posted on this subject and didn't find anything.

Our legal ADA requirements requires that images, including logos, have alt tags, or the equivalent.

What's the process to add alt tags, or the equivalent to Betheme logos when the image in the media library contains alt text?

Thank you for your help with this compliance issue.

  • Hi,

So did you set up the alt text in the WP media, and is not showing up for your logo?

    It should work correctly.

Do you have any caching plugins enabled? If yes, please, disable them, clear your browser cache, and check if it appears then.

If this will not help, please, check if the same thing happens when you set up a new logo with alt text inserted.

    Thanks

  • Thank you for your reply.

Yes, the image in the media library has alt text added, "Beechwood Continuing Care logo."

It shouldn't matter that the site uses the Header Builder, it does.

Both Desktop & mobile logos have been readded and all caches cleared.

Here's the desktop & mobile screen prints:

Thank you again for your help.

  • The old Header Builder had problems with the alt tag for the logo.

Please, update your Betheme to the newest version, and use Header Builder 2.0.

    Thanks

  • Where can I download Header Builder 2.0, can't find the download link.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Did you check the link from my previous message?

Header Builder 2.0 is not a plugin, but part of Betheme, and you can use it via Templates.

Please, check the link I have sent, you will find there a video tutorial showing step-by-step how to access it, and how to use it.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for your reply.

We don't have time to implement a new header to add alt text to the logo. is there no way to add it with the plugin?

Can you issue a plugin update which fixes this?

    Thanks for your help.

  • This plugin is deprecated, and we do not release any updates for it anymore.

The only option is to use a new version of the Header Builder or use the Header style from the Theme options.

    Best regards
