Zoom boxes or image grid with customization

So I need a grid of 4 images with titles/links showing by default with overlay and zoom on hover

  • If I use a zoom box, titles aren't showing by default. Can we set that with CSS? Or is there a better solution?
  • If possible: can I use an overlay on mouse off as well?
  • and when I change the height, vertical alignment isn't working well, I want the title to be in the center at all times
