Hello Phil,

it's me again with 2 new questions. ;-))

I have mine for my site

www.thomaslaubscher.com Bought the betheme about 5 years ago and thought it was great at the time and think it's even better now :-))

Stupidly, I stupid never updated the theme.

However, I think the current one is so great that I am considering buying a new theme for my old website. So swapping the old theme for the new theme, does that work? or am I expecting something horrible and I'll have to rebuild the site. :-((

And what I also find important – what does google or seo say.

I have good positions on google with the site.

2nd question

I have added a video to my new site www.4web-agency.de – I can also see it on my home computer – unfortunately I cannot see the video on my iphone or ipad. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,

1) The update should work correctly, but I do not know what plugins you have if you did not modify your database and what version you currently have.

Again, the update should work, but I recommend creating a backup of this website with the Duplicator plugin in case something breaks.

2) The background video on mobile devices is hidden by default because not all devices handle it.

If you want to show it, you can use the following CSS code:

@media only screen and (max-device-width: 959px){
body .section.has-video .section_video{
display: block!important;
}
}

but it don't work with mi iphone maybe on other phones :-))

I assume that is related to iOS.

Please, check your website with an Android phone.
