header search not active but code generating ADA contrast error

Hello,

We have a site, https://dailey-electric-inc.websitepro.hosting/, with search disabled but the code is still being generated in top_bar_left search_wrapper

The problem is that it's generating an ADA contrast error.

How can we eliminate the code?

Thanks for your help,

Terry

  • Hi,

What you ask for requires file customization, which about Item Support Policy is not allowed. http://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy

So if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact your web developer. Item Policy says:

Item support does not include services to modify or extend the item beyond the original features, style, and functionality described on the item page. For customization services that will help you tailor the item to your specific requirements, we recommend contacting the author to see if they privately offer paid customization services or checking out the great service providers on Envato Studio.

I can only tell that the file you should edit is header-top-area.php in the includes folder. If this does not work, check other files with "header" at the beginning of the title.

    Thanks

  • OK, I didn't realize that we needed to edit the file to remove it, thanks for that direction.

We can take care of that.

Thank you & have a great day,

  • Hi Again,

Because this ADA is a legal issue, I wonder if it would be possible to change Betheme to check if search is being displayed and only generate the code when search is displayed.

    Thank you for your consideration,

    Terry
