Theme option sections being output when header builder is active

Hello,

I have upgraded a client from the old header to the new templates builder method.

In doing so, the theme options sections that no longer apply were greyed out.

The options that were enabled did still add to the source code of the website, even though they weren't visible.

Specifically:

  • Menu & Action Bar -> Action Bar -> Action Bar -> check box for "Show above the header"
  • Responsive -> Header -> Side Slide options - check box for "Social Icons"

There may be more.

Could you either force the disabling of these options in the theme options - or check for header builder in the PHP output, please?

  • Hi,

Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.

It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot showing your issue.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Sorry, this was not so much for support, but to advise on a bug.

I have resolved the issue at my side on the site it appeared on, there is nothing to show unfortunately now.

    You may replicate by:

    • Set up a site without using a BeBuilder template header
    • Use Theme Options to fill in Action Bar content and enable its output
    • Add a header using the BeBuilder template
    • This will disable the Theme Options for the action bar, but the configuration persists
    • View the source code and you'll see the Action Bar content is still present
      • The entire "Side_slide" div was still being outputted until I managed to turn off the option too
  • Thanks for the explanation.

However, I followed your steps, and I could not replicate this issue. Action Bar or its code is not visible for me on pages with the header builder.

    Best regards

  • No problem - this was a site that was active for years under the regular header system and switched to header builder.

There may have been additional steps/configurations to output this code.

Perhaps something may crop up in the future that picks this up again.

For now, I was able to disable the relevant parts of the theme options to remove it from the code.
