404 Page shows no header and footer?
We set 404 to a custom page in theme settings. When I edit the page in the beeditor I see the site header and footer, but when I go to the frontend and get a 404 there is no header or footer shown. Is this... on purpose? a bug? A setting? I'm out of ideas.

It is on purpose.
The 404-page displays only its content with no Header or Footer.

But.... what if i want the header, so people have naviagtion to click to somewhere else?
There is no option for that.
You can add links in the custom 404 page content.
