Icons not linking correctly

I am trying to link icons in my footer to external sites. For example I have a github icon that is configured like the below screenshot. This is saved and applied site-wide. However, when viewing the actual site the icon does not link to this URL and instead points back to homepage for my own site.
This has only been an issue since changing to a new footer template. But I've tried multiple icons with different external URLs and they all end up linking back to my own site.
If I hover over or click on this icon when viewing the site, it shows my own URL:
I also have a button in the footer that links elsewhere and this works fine, the problem seems contained to icons only. Any help appreciated.

please provide link to the site where you have a problem with external links in footer.
It's not isolated to one site, any URL I try ends up pointing back at my own URL when saved and applied to the site footer. I've even just tried it with https://www.amazon.co.uk/ - same result.

From what we can see, there is absolutely no links set. What I would recommend is to disable ALL 3rd party plugins (including ANY caches) as this might be the most likely reason.
Otherwise, please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately thru the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact, and we will check what might be the reason.

This hasn't worked so I've used the contact form.
Like I mentioned, this worked before choosing one of the preconfigured footers. And during my attempts I was clearing the cache.
Our support team have responded on your private message this morning. After theme update to its latest version, everything works seamless.
