Dropdown Menu Redirect Issue on Click

Hello Support Team,

I am experiencing two issues with the dropdown menu functionality in my WordPress setup using BeTheme and the Mega Menu template:

  1. Dropdown Menu Redirect Issue
    • When I click on a parent menu item with a dropdown, it performs two actions:
      • On the first click, it opens the dropdown as expected.
      • On the second click, it redirects me to a separate page (the URL of the parent item).
    • I would like the parent menu item to only open the dropdown menu and not redirect to any page, regardless of how many times it is clicked.
  2. Dropdown Button Not Visible in Incognito Mode
    • When I open my website in an incognito window, the button for the dropdown menu does not appear at all. It’s as if the menu item doesn’t exist.

I have tried the following:

  • Editing the menu in Appearance > Menus, but the only options available are selecting the Mega Menu template and the Mega Menu display settings.
  • Reviewing the settings in BeBuilder Header and the Mega Menu Template, but I couldn’t find a solution to these problems.

Could you please guide me on how to resolve these issues?

  • Hi,

There is no option to change that.

    Best regards

  • Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I understand that you mentioned there is no such option, but I want to clarify that this functionality was working as intended in the pre-built website when I initially set it up. The dropdown menu button was functioning without redirecting to another page, and it was visible in the frontend. However, something seems to have shifted, and now it no longer works as before.

Could you please investigate this further? Since it was originally functional, I believe there must be a way to restore it.

    Thank you for your support!

  • Which pre-built website you are using?

It was designed this way because it is the most optimal usage, as most users are willing to enter the prime category, and without this functionality, they would not be able to.

    Best regards

  • the pre-built Biker4 website, where clicking on "Select by category" opens the dropdown menu, and clicking it again closes the dropdown menu. It was the same on my site initially, but now something has shifted. Currently, when I click on "Select by category," the dropdown menu opens, but when I click it a second time, instead of closing, it redirects me to a separate page displaying the mega menu.

  • Please attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.

    Thanks
