Problem with Portfolio posts featured image

I'm testing BeTheme on a Staging site I set up, and I"m running into an issue with Portfolio items.

When I create a Portfolio item, and then make edits to it using the BeBuilder editor, then try to add a Featured Image, every single time I select any image, it crashes and give me this error below.

This does NOT happen when I create a new Portfolio item that does NOT use the BeBuilder, but instead just uses the default block editor in Wordpress. Why is this happening?

NotFoundError: Failed to execute 'removeChild' on 'Node': The node to be removed is not a child of this node.

  • Actually, I'm getting this error often, in when editing simple Portfolio posts that weren't built with the BeBuilder:

The editor has encountered an unexpected error.

    What's going on?

  • Hello,

Please turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.

Moreover, if you use a child theme, switch to parent, and recheck it.

If this will not help, please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason.

Therefore, please ensure that the data you send are complete and correct.

    Thanks

  • Thank you - I did clear my cached which didn't fix the issue.

However, it did seem to be a Chrome issue.

I ended up taking all these steps, which finally fixed the problem.

    • Open chrome:flags and then click on reset flags.
    • Open chrome:policy and then click on reload policy.
    • Open chrome:extensions and turn off all but the most needed extensions.
    • Open chrome:net-internals and click on the following buttons:
    • DNS - Clear host cache
    • PROXY - re apply settings, clear bad proxies
    • Socket - Close idle, Flush socket
    • Open chrome:help and then click on update.
    • Open chrome:restart

  • I am happy that you managed to correct that.

If you have any other questions or problems, feel free to ask.

    Best regards
