Hover Color won't allow me to save pdf file links from a file server

Hi,

I am working on a site that has a combination of pdf download links and external website links. I am using a Hover Color box to format the content and I am just adding all of the content in the text box. I am not using the link field and target fields that are provided because my link text ("Read More" or "Download") does not show up as a link.

The problem is that it won't allow me to use the pdf links. It doesn't even save them when I click Save. I have tried using both the BeBuilder and the Edit page options and neither one will allow me to use the pdf links. The pdf files I need to use are stored in an external file server. An example pdf link is: https://filedn.com/ljrkU1Er1CRhAxvvIyiHEcf/Prolactin%20Blood%20Test.pdf. Interestingly, when I upload the same file to the media library and add the link that way it works perfectly. However, my client doesn't want the links to be added through the media library because they want to be able to make changes to them and upload the updated files to their file server.

No matter how many times I put the pdf link in the content, it defaults to the last external website link I entered. I have cleared my browser cache, restarted my browser, completely deleted the hover box and started over from scratch and nothing allows me to add the pdf links.

My site is www.katywellcare.com and the page I am working on is the Patient Resources page (https://katywellcare.com/patient-resources/). There are several hover color boxes on the page and some are linked to external resources. They say Read More. The boxes with the pdf resources say Download.

Can you help me get this fixed? I am SO frustrated after spending hours trying every conceivable option to make this work. I'm sure it will end up being something simple, but I am just beyond figuring it out at this point.

Debbie
