Theme option problems with version 28.1.11

Hello,

I run two sites with Betheme version 28.1.11.

I wanted to update some theme options. The error:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

  • I tried to clear browsing data, cache and cookies
  • I deactivate all plugins

Can you help me?

Best regards,

  • Hey,

Please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason. Please also tell me what changes you made.

    Notice!

Please attach a link to this forum discussion.

Sending incorrect or incomplete data will result in a longer response time.

Therefore, please ensure that the data you send are complete and correct.

    Thanks

  • Did you change the WP dashboard URL for your website? I could not enter it with /wp-admin.

    Best regards

  • Oh Sorry - see new PM

  • Unfortunately, the login credentials you sent do not work:

Please double-check if the credentials you sent are correct.

    Thanks

  • I send all the data one more time. Sorry for the trouble!

  • Now, when I tried to access the WP dashboard with the link you provided, after inserting the password (the one for password protection), I got to the homepage, and the login panel does not show up. I tried with both the link you provided in a private message and /wp-admin.

    Best regards

  • Hello,

I had the same problem you described... I don't know what happened. I send the new data via PM.

    Best regards,

    Sabrina

  • Thanks, it finally worked.

I tried to enable WP debug on your website to troubleshoot, but I could not find the wp-config file on your FTP in the main WP catalog. A modified folder and file structure might be the root cause. Please restore the original structure and check if the problem persists. If this will not help, please let me know, so and we will take a second look at this.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

just to give you an update. I talked to my provider. They told me

"The size and structure of the forms submitted by BeTheme continue to exceed ModSecurity's global security limits. We cannot relax these limits system-wide, as they are a core component of the security concept."

    Best regards,

    Sabrina

  • So here you have your answer. ModSecurity on your server is the culprit.

If the ModSecurity blocks that, we are quite limited with the help, as it is on the server side. Anyway, if they cannot "exceed limits" globally, ask if they cannot do it for your website only.

Also, if they were more specific about what precisely the culprit is, we may try to adjust it in the Betheme, but at the moment, they give almost no information, so our hands are tied.

    Best regards
