How to disable the comments/blog section

I've been trying since yesterday and I don't have a clue how to remove this section:

All I could do was changing page's template form Default to Blank Page. But then the menu and slider disappeard. The comments are disabled. I know it's something obvious but still - I can't find the solution. Please help me.

this is widget section. You can control them under Appearance > Widgets section
