Seeking assistance with customizing the off-canvas sidebar in Portfolio 3 pre-built website
Hello Betheme Support Team,
I hope you are doing well.
I am writing to request guidance on how to customize the off-canvas sidebar when using a pre-built website. Specifically, I am building my site based on the Portfolio 3 demo
(https://themes.muffingroup.com/be/portfolio3/).
This demo uses a burger menu icon in the top left to trigger the sidebar. I would like to modify elements within this sidebar, such as the font size and colors.
Here is what I have tried so far:
- I searched through the Betheme options in the WordPress dashboard to find a dedicated menu for editing the off-canvas sidebar, but I couldn't find the relevant settings.
- I tried creating a Sidebar Menu template via the Templates menu. However, I couldn't figure out how to apply it as an off-canvas sidebar without a header, just like in the Portfolio 3 demo.
I apologize for the long message, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could guide me on how to achieve this.
Thank you for your time and help!
Best regards,
Jayden

Hi,
The sidebar menu opens with the Menu Burger element, which is available in the Header Builder.
So you must create a header template with the Menu Burger, and choose the sidebar menu template within it.
See the following video tutorials:

Thanks
Hi Phil,
Thank you for the your response and the video tutorials.
I understand that I can use the Header Builder and the Menu Burger element to trigger a sidebar menu. However, my main goal is to keep the exact design of the Portfolio 3 demo, which appears to have NO visible header, but just a floating burger icon on the top left screen.
Before I proceed with creating a new header as you suggested, I would like to get a firm confirmation on the following:
I just want to make sure I am not missing a simpler way to edit the default demo setup before I start rebuilding the header.
Thank you again for your time and clarification.
Best regards,
Jayden
I just imported that demo, and checked it. Actually, it does not use the sidebar template, but Creative header style from Betheme -> Theme options -> Header & Subheader -> Header:
Headers from theme options take their styles from theme options, so font size and color can be set in Fonts and Colors tabs:
Note that header layouts from theme options are pre-defined, so there is no option to re-arrange them, or add things that are not present in the theme options.
Best regards
