Hijacking Control Shift Paste?
Hello,
Is it possible that BeTheme is hijacking Control-Shift-Paste(V)?
This is the only paste of non-formatted content there is, so at the moment I am having to paste it into a notepad++ file and reCopy it to paste it into a basic headings box in BeBuilder.
Otherwise, if I Control-Shift-Paste it into the text box, It forces a new tab to open.
I've disabled all chrome extensions, and updated chrome and nothing fixes it.
It's ONLY happening when I'm inside the BeBuilder editor, and it doesn't seem to matter what element I'm working in.
Any ideas why this super annoying thing would be happening?

This shortcut in BeBuilder is for viewing the page:
Instead, you must use right click, and use the option "Paste Without Formatting."

This is nearly the worst choice for Open in New Tab that you guys could have chosen.
I agree that the default paste should NOT be WITH formatting, since it's bringing hidden code and all sorts of potential problems, but that's certainly not your fault and there seems to be no fixing that world.
But when you hijack the best paste there is for something that has a simple onscreen option.
You overwrite something that would be used dozens of times on a page with something that would only be used a single time on a page.
Guys...
Right click paste-without-formatting for EVERY PASTE is a horrible patch.
Can we submit to you guys to pick something else? like ANYTHING that's not already used all the time? Like Control Shift T or control Shift P for page or whatever. Just not something we would actually use when transferring copy from other collaborative tools like WORD or Docs that are riddled with formatting...?
I say this with all due respect because you guys built a great thing, but I renew my support every time it expires just to support your efforts and be able to speak with you, but this setting is very bad.

I am sorry, but there is no workaround for that.
We introduced shortcuts in 2022. At this point, we cannot change that, as it has been like that for too long, and it would affect the experience of many other customers who have already gotten used to it, and no one before you has reported similar struggles with this particular shortcut.
Unfortunately, our hands are tied in this matter.

I am a big fan of yours so I try to hold you at a higher standard than other companies where I'd just be irritated and eventually stop using them without ever saying why.
You have had very few issues of this nature. But maybe in the future you can ask customers who are developers/power users about ideas you have, or at least steer clear of overwriting power user functionality for something as basic as this. This shortcut isn't needed at all in my opinion, since you already have a view page button already on the screen. But even if you did want a shortcut for this function, which isn't a bad idea, I don't think you'd find a power user that would suggest overwriting the paste-without-format shortcut with open-page. This is a shortcut that when editing is used many dozens of times per day by any power user. Copying text from ANY collaborative document basically requires it. Documents that a power user or marketing admin would get from a copy writer, client or stakeholder is likely to be riddled with hidden formatting. It's better today than in the past, and should be better than it is, but it's not good enough yet that professionals can simply skip the step, unless they want to add a bunch of hidden formatting to half the things they do. In my experience, about half of the formatting trouble that people have was caused by not knowing better.

As I have previously explained, this specific shortcut is currently integrated into the builder's core functionality, so we aren't able to change it at this immediate time.
However, we are keeping a close eye on this thread. If we see more users reporting similar conflicts, we will certainly look into changing the shortcut or finding an alternative solution that better accommodates everyone's workflow.
