Loop query - Featured Image clickable link
We use a loop query for the hero section. I don't see a way to make the featured image clickable per post

I would like each post to allow a customized link for the image.
Is that possible?

Edit your image in the Query Loop, and in the Link field, set the dynamic data:

I tested that method, and it has its uses.
In my case, I want to use an external link. In the current post example, I would like to use the same link as the green button on the left, which is the same link the graphic designer put on the banner.
While the current example has a single slide and I could indeed enter the link in place of the permalink tag, I am looking for a solution that supports multiple slides, where each link might not be directly related to the post in the query loop.
You can use the ACF plugin to add a new field where you would put links, and later use it for opening external links.
