I only see option to filter blog posts by categories and not by tags or authors. For example on front page i want to put blog post only from particular tag. But I only have option of selecting blog post of particular category from BE theme
As you can see on http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/blog blog items can be filtered by tags as well. But if you use "Blog" item and this is the way of how you want to display posts, then you're right - you can display them by different categories only.

it depends what you mean. By categories, can be filtered Portfolio items but blog posts, can be filtered by categories, tags and authors.
