Cannot import Demo content to site

Hello there,

I am trying to upload the demo content onto my website, however, I am unable to upload any demo content. I have tried the steps which you have recommended on similar discussion. I have also applied the Secret API Key, and installed all required plugin, However, when I try to import the Demo Data and it only comes up with a blank page. Please advise.

I am unable to give you the URL link as this is for internal use, but please let me know if you need any log record, I will try to pass the information to you.

I just did this tonight.. it worked for me (well most of it). Did you go

Appearance->BeTheme Demo Data

Then select 'Default Layout' and then click "Import demo data". It sorta worked for me, except for the slider gave me an error of Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias homepage not found.".

No, it doesn't work on mine. I still got blank page as before.

@ivy-suncity What exactly is the problem? When you are trying to import demo under BeTheme Demo Data > Demo section, page goes blank? If this is what you mean, then please activate WP_DEBUG and check what errors you have because they are for sure related with server settings.

@gwong_bbb Because slider is external tool, you must import slides themselves. All information about slider import you can read on http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/15/how-to-import-revolution-slider-into-be-theme

@ivy-suncity This message says that the problem is some limits on server side. In this case, only wordpress admin will be able to help you. The answer on this question you can find on https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-import-html-pages-requires-php-xml-if-you-get-error-domdocument-not-found

You can also check Google where similar problems were solved.

Thx for the pointer to the video on how to import a slider. I followed it and the error is now gone. But then I ran into http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/comment/29794/#Comment_29794 where the slider image is blank.

FYI, there seems to be some CSS issues and missing files. I created a dummy [email protected] file but the slider is still blank (well, 'black' with previous/next buttons showing). Here's a screen shot at:

@gwong_bbb So you say that slider is invisible right? Did you updated slider to latest 5.0.4.1 version? If you did and slider does not work, please send us url to site where this happen.

Yes, I did update the slider, and I followed your video tutorial (thanks!) at http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/15/how-to-import-revolution-slider-into-be-theme - of course the UI is different now but I figured it out.

My site is at:

betheme.sbd.ca which returns a 404 to visitors. As a logged in admin, I do see site but with a blank slider at the top.

To give you more details, I:

1. imported "Default Layout" and then

2. imported the homepage.zip from:

./betheme-premium-wordpress-theme/slider-revolution-demo/demos/default

Would you like me to send you the admin login information? Or can you tell what I did wrong from the steps above? I suspect I needed to import more content, or perhaps label the slider alias 'homepage'.

BTW for the sake of others wrestling with this issue.. try importing one of the other *.zip demo files. If that works, then the homepage.zip file is corrupt. That's what happened to me and I wasted a lot of time on this, assuming that it would work.
