Is there a way to limit the amount of page numbers displayed by the "Show Pagination" option?  It would be most delightful if this option only took up a single line on the page as opposed to a block of space. 

For example:

I have a site with 2500 pages. The "Show Pagination" option creates a large block at the bottom of the last displayed blog post. There is a number corresponding to every single page. 

Ideally, I would like to be for it to read something like: 1 2 3 4 5 ... 2498 2499 2500 >Next Page 

Is this able to be done?
