Disappearing content within Widgets

I'm having some problems with the sidebar widgets. If I create the Sidebar within the BeTheme options, then Save settings, then go to the Appearance>Widgets and add a Custom Menu or Text Widget, then go to another screen, then go back to the Widget, the custom menu or text box has been moved to the Inactive Widgets area. Thanks for your help.
