Surfing Theme Style Header

I'm probably missing it, but am trying to figure out how to do the large hero image with the transparent menu with the surfing page. I can't get it placed right and there is a purple nav bar behind everything even though I've made it transparent.

Again, it's probably something super simple but I am missing it.

So I just did a quick install without any of my stuff in it.

I don't want to use the rev slider, just a single hero image like in the demo. but the purple bar continually shows up no matter what I do in the theme options or page options

We checked your site already and it does not look like you are using our theme there. However on our Be|Surfing demo, we use rev slider. If you want the same look on your site, then you must use pre-defined slider for this demo which is included into theme package.

I am using your theme under the haymakerco.com/ims...It is a test server install. I had forgot to take it off coming soon. That's my fault. If you click now you can see it live.

I don't want to use a rev slider...just a hero image like in the surfing demo. Hope that makes sense.

What is HERO IMAGE? Because we do not understand. But if you want to remove Revolution Slider, then while editing page, under "Page options" section you got "Revolution Slider" field. There should be no slider selected.

In the surfing demo...it is a single image of a surfer on a wave. No slider, just that single image with the a transparent menu background. That's what I am looking for. I have made the menu background transparent but cant figure out where to put the single image (think surfer in wave) there without the purple background showing up. Hope that makes sense.

As we wrote above, this server guy on a wave is not an image. It's revolution slider. And if you want to get this guy, you must import pre-made slider for this demo which is included into theme package. Please notice that you can not get this guy without slider.
