align slider with image in section

If I have a slider with a single image in the header with a pattern and an image in the section where the pattern should continue before it changes. Is it possible to have them align? The image for the slider and the section have both the same dimensions and are set to full width but the image in the section just uses a small part of the images and is stretched.
