How do I create a horizontal menu?

in Menu / Mega menu
I want to add something like the follow menu in one of the footer widget areas: 

Home | About | Directions | Contact

I don't see an option to make an menu horizontal. How can I accomplish this in your theme?

    Hi Frank,

    under Appearance > Menus section, you can create addition menu and then under Appearance > Menus > Manage locations, you can set this menu instead of social icons in the bottom on the right side.

    That was easy. But I had hoped to use a footer widget area for this menu, is there no way to accomplish this in a widget area?

    If I have to use the this area, is there a way to but both menus in this area? Also, how do I get my social icons back like it was?

    No, this is not possible to do it with widgets. This can be done only the way we described above. Also, it is impossible to have both. You can have or menu or social icons.
