Hello,

I have some questions i need your help with:

1. I would like to set a sidebar for all pages, but be able to remove it from the actual homepage. From my understanding this is not possible with this theme and i am wondering why and if i can achieve it.

2. How can i change colors of various elements? For example i want to change fancy heading text color. I know i can use the custom.css and apply a style for it, though i dont want it to change for all pages. I know i can also use page-id on css for specific pages, though i am really wondering as to why you left color options out of elements?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hey,

    1. If you want to to set sidebar for ALL, it means that sidebar will be set for ALL pages. But if you want to set sidebars for individual pages, you should set them under "Page options" section while editing/creating pages.

    2. Some colors can be changed within custom css's only. We must keep the proper balance between the number of options and theme size. Some of our customers are using very limited and cheap hosting services and because of that they may have a problems with theme installation or using if we will be adding color options for any dot or line available on every demo. For us, it's not a problem of course, like we said before, but the people may think different and won't understand it. That's why in some cases it is much better to use simple line of custom css. It's nothing wrong. If people, begin to understand this situation and will stop using poor hosting services, it won't be a problem for us to add color options every dot on site.

    Thanks!
  • I would like to add my input as to the answer given regarding the sidebar: please note that if you want to set different sidebars for individual pages, you will need to go into "Betheme Options" > sidebars and under 'Page /Layout', choose the option: "Use Page Meta". Otherwise even if you set your individual page with "Full width No sidebar" under "Layout", you will still see the sidebar.
    Hope this helps.
  • Hey

    Thanks for the responses.

Sorry but i am really worried about this sidebar issue, due to the fact that most websites use sidebar, just not on the home page. You could just have it apply everywhere, and then user can choose to override a specific page. Thats what other themes do that i use such as Enfold.

Because as you have it, i have to choose no sidebar in order to have my homepage full width, and then add manually a sidebar in each page i create. Its not very productive nor efficient. The way i described above is.
  • @netinfoplc Sorry but we do not have any solution for this so far.
