Custom variable in items of the portfolio

Hello,

I cannot find the "custom variable" on portefolio item as we can find it on normal pages.

I need it to insert shortcode of a plugin in order to give access to some items of the portfolio only for paid membership.

Is that possible  to activate "custom variable" ?

    Hi,

    what you want to do requires files customization. For single portfolio page is responsible includes/single-portfolio.php file so if you want, you can play with this file.

    Thank you for your reply. I do not understand a word, sorry! I do know anything about .php.

    The point is that on each portfolio page, I have a video lesson. And people have to pay for watching them. So I need to protect the content. I found a plugin (membership and commerce manager) which indicates to include a shortcode to protect the content.

    But the thing is : I can't insert the shortcode in the video ID, it doesn't work.
    So the author of the plugin told me to insert the shortcode in a custom variable, but this fiels appears in normal pages, but not in portfolio pages.

    Your solution if I understand properly would be to go in the includes/single-portfolio.php file ?
    Could you explain the way to do?

    We are really sorry but there is nothing else what we can do in this case. If you read Item Support Policy, you will understand that theme files customization are not included. So if what we wrote above it not clear for you, we suggest to contact with your website developer because what you need, requires files customization.
