Regarding the header title area text to the left of the breadcrumbs, I was wondering if there's a way to adjust the text size and make it smaller.

On a related note, is there a way to adjust the breadcrumbs (e.g. darker color, etc.)? If so, how would I do that?

Yes, you can. For that please use below css:

#Subheader ul.breadcrumbs li, #Subheader ul.breadcrumbs li a { color: #000 !important; }
