Sorry, I use a Maintenance Page plugin, that's why you couldn't see tte url http://www.thetalentsshow.com/spectacles/. But here is my login and password to check it by yourself

Ok. So to change background color of blog and single post pages, you should use below css:

.blog #Content { background-color: #000 !important; }
.single-post #Content { background-color: #000 !important; }
.blog .masonry .post-desc-wrapper { background-color: #000 !important; }

Above details has been removed because this is public section and everyone see them.

Maybe you already have custom css with mistakes? If you did any mistakes, any css below, won't work. It may do not work also because of cache if you use it.

For portfolio pages, you can use the following custom css:

.page-template-template-portfolio #Content { background: #000 !important; }
.single-portfolio #Content { background: #000 !important; }

the css work fine, but the text under the pictures doesn't appear because of the white background use on the Masonry portfolio.desc.wrapper. please can you give me the css as you did from the Blog?

Yes i want to change this white part to black or another color. I want also to change the background of the videos category, and the white part under the videos

Ok. So to change both backgrounds, please use some extra css of course:

.portfolio_group .portfolio-item .desc { background: #000 !important; }
.masonry .post-desc-wrapper .post-desc { background: #000 !important; } 
.archive #Content { background: #000 !important; }
