no, you don't need to install any plugin because popup shortcode is included into theme. You can do what you want with below shortcode:

Ok. So to center this text, you can use the following css:

#pp_full_res .pp_inline { text-align: center !important; }

it works! but if I want to add some padding to the top of the image, what's the CSS for that?

Add padding-top: 20px attribute to above css.
