Menu spacing is too tight

Just started creating my site and noticed the menu structure is very close together. I'm using Charity2. Any ideas?

Now, final question on the menu. How do I make it look like the demo page?

On Be|Charity demo, we used Magazine header style so if you want to get the same one, you need to switch to Magazine layout. Also, under Theme options > Header & Subheader > Extras section, you can set the banner as we did for demo.
