Header, Footer, Sidebar gets lost upon THEME UPDATE

THEME UPDATED from 10.7 to 11.8
  1. #Top_bar stays in .loading state thus won't display
  2. All the contents of the footer widgets got replaced by default contents
  3. Contents of all the sidebar widgets got replaced by default ones.

Haven't changed one line in the old theme just activated the new version.
This shouldn't happen right?
